How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I have taken Natural classes/courses and attended natural seminars. Also, along with practice.

What's your technique?

There are three methods that I use. 1.for the big chop: i simply finger coil the hair in small boxed sections and then cut where the line of demarcation is. This allows the relaxed hair to stand out. 2. for a trim: i two strand twist the hair or 3. I blow the hair out using several heat protectants.

What products do you like best?

I love love love the Shea Moisture line. Affordable and amazing in results and ingredients among others.

Any advice for other stylists?

No two curl patterns are alike just like their owners. :) So enjoy embracing the individuality of each curly client and helping them express who they themselves are through their beautiful coils.

What's the hottest curly trend?

Incorporating 2 or more different natural styling methods into 1 hairdo. I.E... braids, two strand twists, and flat twists all incorporated to achieve a very sophisticated sculptured updo or or side swept bun.
