How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I have been cutting curly hair every since I can remember... it started when I was about six years old on my curly hair baby dolls. My passion for cutting curly hair lead me to an apprenticeship in a salon at the age of 14... Here is where I received the foundation of my training. Since then I have continued attending cutting classes and also taught a few myself. Curly Hair is what I do!

What's your technique?

I love to section off the curly hair in 6 sections then make pyramid partings (while maintaining a set level of moisture in the hair) then I do shingling to create a natural beveled edge for styling curly styles!

What products do you like best?

My favorite shampoo and conditioner are Jonathan's vegan - no frizz - sulfate free and my second favorite line of cleansing and conditioning products are Giovanni Organics deep Moisture... As for styling I use a signature line of products SOUL is the name of this fantastic organic OIL and Leave-in Moisturizing/conditioning spray

Any advice for other stylists?

My advice to any and every stylist is define your dreams and get a burning desire for there achievement, then take the next logical step for you! Live Your Dreams! Whatever you can imagine and believe you can have!

What's the hottest curly trend?

Here at Naturally Healthy Hair Salon our Hottest trend is straw sets and twist outs... The bigger and fuller the better!
