How did you learn to cut curly hair?

Years of Advanced Technical training with Aveda and my mentor Vilma Subel.

What's your technique?

I prefer to cut curly hair dry instead of wet. If a guest wears their hair naturally curly, then assessing the hair in its natural curl pattern allows me to determine how to approach cutting the shape.

What products do you like best?

Mixed Chicks leave-in conditioner, Aveda's Confixor liquid gel, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, Kinky Curly Knot today, Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding and Argon Oil.
