How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I've trained with some of the top stylists in the industry, and seen several approaches to cutting curls, my tried and true method is the Ouidad technique, which i learned while training at Ouidad's flagship salon in Manhattan.

What's your technique?

Ouidad Carve and Slice

What products do you like best?

Ouidad

Any advice for other stylists?

LISTEN to your clients! Curlies have usually had several salon experiences that did not end well - make sure you understand the challenges they face everyday with their curls, and send them home with solutions!

What's the hottest curly trend?

I'm really liking the John Hughes inspired 80's type of cuts I've seen popping up lately - hot haircuts that show off soft and very touchable curls, with "less is more" subtle dimension.
