How did you learn to cut curly hair?
I learned by trial and error! I have ringlet curls, and have had so many bad haircuts! I learned from the mistakes others have made on my hair! Also, I have learned by watching other stylist that have specialized in curly hair.
What's your technique?
The techniques that i believe work the best for curly hair are over-directing the hair, so you don't have heavy spots. Also layers that are correctly placed. THe hair texture and natural fall plays a big role too!
What products do you like best?
I have tried everything that is out there!! The best product that I have found is Kenra Curl Defining Cream. It works well with any type curls and density! It also smells wonderful!!
Any advice for other stylists?
I guess my only advice would be, don't treat curly hair the same as straight! It needs much more TLC than straight!!
What's the hottest curly trend?
Well, I use to have long curly hair and recently cut it off to a rounded layer bob! I love it and get so many compliments. I think you can wear it either long or short...just as long as it is cut right!
