How did you learn to cut curly hair?
Patience and experience. I have learned over time that every head of curls is different and each individual curl on that head is different from the next. I have also taken extensive advanced education classes.
What's your technique?
My #1 technique is to listen. I always start each appointment with a sit down, face to face consultation. I ask lots of questions and LISTEN. I learn alot about the clients hair from the client. I often will cut curly hair dry.
What products do you like best?
DevaCurl Products are a staple in my salon. They smell great and work great. What else can you ask for? Although I am always open minded to new products!
Any advice for other stylists?
Ask alot of questions.
