How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I learned to cut curly hair when I worked at John Sahag. John invented the “dry cut” method, which gives you more control over the overall shape of the haircut.

What's your technique?

I prefer to dry cut curly hair because that way the hair is natural and free flowing, and the cut is precise and shaped perfectly for the client’s face.

What products do you like best?

Phyto, Lazartigue, Bumble and bumble for curly hair.

Any advice for other stylists?

Don't overcut the hair, especially if you are cutting the hair wet. It is very important to know when to stop cutting.

What's the hottest curly trend?

Long, natural look without any frizziness — the hair is twisted and then allowed to air dry.
