How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I learned to cut curly hair a long time ago. When I was begining my floor time in cosmetology school, there were still clients that would recieve jerry curls. You learned how to cut and style the hair without having to blow the hair straight first.

What's your technique?

There are a lot of stylist that will blow the hair straight to have a perfect cut, but I don't need to do that. I can measure the strinkage of the curly hair and cut hair to the style and length desired by the client.

What products do you like best?

Each hair type reacts differently to different products. I like a product that will tame the frizz with out leaving the hair too greasy and tacky feeling. I try to use the best product for the hair type.

Any advice for other stylists?

Stay focused on your vision. It will come.

What's the hottest curly trend?

Wash and go, Two Strand twist out, and flexi rod sets
