How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I spent a lot of time listening to curly headed clients. I found out they do understand the bounderies of their own hair and they want someone who will do what they ask.

What's your technique?

My technique varies according to the type, texture, and length of the hair. I also need to know the style it is to be worn in. I use a straight razor on some clients and scissors on others. Some of my looks start with clippers.

What products do you like best?

I adore CatWalk Curls Rock Amplifier. I like to use differernt things and I make my own hair styling cocktails by mixing a couple products together like, Designline by Regis Silk Drops with Smooth Talker by Designline.

Any advice for other stylists?

Really take the time to listen to your client. They've had a lot of time to live with their curly hair, they know how it behaves or doesn't behave.

What's the hottest curly trend?

In Arizona the trend for curls is flaunt them as long as they are frizz free!
