How did you learn to cut curly hair?

Experience and education.

What products do you like best?

Besides Hair So Fine (My Line, lol), for prep and healthy hair maintenance, I love Redken color and their new whipped dream mouse it is the BEST. I like the moisture it yields with a bit of oil cocktailed with it. I also like Paul Mitchell bleach and relaxers, Protein Gel for tight styles, and good old fashion Raw Natural products such as Shea Butter, Castor oil, Avocado oil etc.

Any advice for other stylists?

Don’t be discouraged by curly hair, it takes repetition and practice to concur anything, so don’t give away one client!

What's the hottest curly trend?

Twist outs” for thick, tight curls, are very hot and sexy too I might add. They can be achieved multiple ways for different looks, depending on your technique. Another really popular trend is creating defined layers, this helps keep curls under control with or with out product, but I always recommend product for ALL hair types.
