How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I picked up pieces of information along the way from training at Sassoon Academy and from other stylists I have worked with. My passion for curls began when I was temporarily working in a salon that specialized in the dry cutting of curly hair. I put my precision cutting and understanding of shape together with the freestyle dry cutting and the results have been stunning!

What's your technique?

It all depends on the head of hair! Every curl is different and to be treated accordingly. Mostly visual dry cutting, creating a beautiful shape to suit the client. Sometimes I cut the shape in when dam and deconstruct after the diffuse. This technique is best for more wavy hair.

What products do you like best?

I love to mix it up! Unite " Boing" curl cream is amazing. Moroccan Oil Curl defining cream and intense curl cream are also a good choice! Sometimes just a simple conditioner can do the trick!

Any advice for other stylists?

Get in there and have fun! Help your clients own their curls!

What's the hottest curly trend?

I love round shapes! Best on shorter hair, with random disconnection! I also love a curly fringe!
