How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I learn how to cut curly, natural hair on my own. The more I'd cut the more I've learned in the 22 years as a stylist.

What's your technique?

I deal with a lot of African American hair which is not only curly but over curly in which I cut dry however, depending on the texture and density of the hair I also cut wet with a slicing technique.

What products do you like best?

It's really hard to say you like one product best because every curly client require a different product prescription. If I must I like Mixed Chicks,Kinky Twist

Any advice for other stylists?

My advise to other stylist is don't believe the hype about cutting curly hair. My salon experiences with other stylist they are terrified of curly and over curly hair. Don't be scared go for it, its only hair.

What's the hottest curly trend?

My hottest trends are the undone messy look, twist set, braids out look.
