How did you learn to cut curly hair?

I first Learned in Beauty School, I had great instructor that taught me about textures and how differnt curls behave. I also learned on my self and cutting my own curls.

What's your technique?

I have taken classes at Paul Mitchell and most recently i have learned the deva curl cutting technique. I dry cut first and then clean up wet and finish again dry cutting.

What products do you like best?

I love Deva Curl Mister Right. its my favorite, i like that i can reform my curls and wears them for 3 days without having to constantly wash. I also like in my own hair the spray gel. Most of my curly clients like the cream since they like a soft feel.

Any advice for other stylists?

more is less, the less you cut the better you will be, cutting curly hair is an art you must visualize the cut and shape before you even start. most clients will love you to pieces if you can deliver a great cut with out cutting all there hair off. and they will tell there friends how much they love you too.

What's the hottest curly trend?

beachy waves, the best way to get that Taylor Swift look is to twist the hair and dry on low. to prevent frizz keep your hands off the curls the more you play with it the more frizz you have.
