How did you learn to cut curly hair?
It all began with my second client as a hairstylist at my very first salon. She had insanely curly hair and I vowed after her to never be afraid of curls again! So, I began watching videos, reading forums, asking curly people what they hated and what they loved... then I found DevaCurl. I went to a class in Syracuse fell in love and went to NYC the following month to study under the co-owner and education director.
What's your technique?
I cut curly hair dry using the Deva technique.
What products do you like best?
I am a Deva Girl through and through! Their one conditioner is heaven.
Any advice for other stylists?
Take curly hair one step at a time and really focus on your clients face shape, fears and desires.
