Leaves my hair and scalp moderately clean, but is not moisturizing enough. Afterwards, my hair feels very dry, is harder to detangle, and is very frizzy. Smells wonderful, though, as the scent lingers, and is a good price. Might work better on those with finer hair and don't have issues with frizz.

PROS: -Very moisturizing, contains no protein (for those who are protein-sensitive) -Cheap and easy to find CONS: -Left me overconditioned and with a waxy buildup. Definitely not for everyday use -I didn't feel like this cleaned as well as my regular Suave Naturals -Virtually no slip, you'll need a separate RO if you plan on detangling in the shower -That smell... Sickeningly sweet and spicy, and lingers throughout the day

This works great for me as a 1x weekly cleansing routine to clarify from daily cowashing. I have 2a/b fine, porous wavy hair. After using this my hair feels lighter and cleaner. However, I find the scent overpowering and offensive. It's like walking through the perfume section at a department store. Because of this and the extensive list of unpronounceable ingredients I will not be repurchasing.

This was the first no poo/cleansing conditioner I used. It got me off sulfate shampoos and is an impressively good detangler; however, it has isopropyl alcohol in it which is drying for hair, as well as linalool, which is a potent irritant and a suspected carcinogen. This product also doesn't promote great curl formation for meb. When I used the DevaCurl No-Poo with my usual conditioner, Queen Helene Royal Curl Conditioner, I noticed a big difference. It's a good product to start off with if you want to try no-poo, and it's inexpensive, but it's not the best.

I purchased this product about 6 weeks ago. It is very moisturizing and smells wonderful! Suggested tips: -wet and "water-wash" your hair first -apply a significant amount throughout hair - leave it in for at least 4-5 minutes ( I put on a shower cap) -scrub scalp and go through normal washing actions. -comb through hair with a wide tooth comb. -rinse The only CONS are that the suggested amount listed is far below what my 3C curls needed and that the pump disperses a tiny amount, so you have to either take it off or pump incessantly to get the needed amount.

I bought this to co wash, thinking wow it has cleansing properties too. Left my hair not as moisturized as I would liked and ended up going back to my normal conditioner.

I really wanted to like this product, because it received such good ratings and is super-affordable. I also wanted to see what co-washing was about, as I haven't tried it yet...But. This product left my hair with awesome curl definition while it was wet (hence 3 curls) however, my hair dried horribly - turned into a flat, frizzy, greasy mess. I was not able to detangle with this so had to add extra conditioner, maybe that is why...but I felt like it looked like I hadn't washed it for days. This may be because it doesn't play well with my styling cocktail, either, so I give it that benefit of a doubt, but I had to go rewash my hair after, because it looked so gross, and that kinda broke the deal for me. I really could not get over the amount of frizz in my hair from this product! The smell of this is also a deal-breaker for me. To my nose, it just smells like bad perfume over B.O., like all the other L' Oreal products. Verdict: I will give this to my straight-haired niece to see if she can use it, but I am not willing to ever put it in my hair again. Too bad! :( I will try co-washing again, but not with this! Don't let that put you off trying it though, it worked really well for the others here...just not for me.

I usually am a Deva Curl No-poo girl, which I love, but when I couldn't continue to splurge on the product I switched to this! It's amazing! It cleans, and leaves hair feeling strong, without stripping. It moisturizes and gets hair soft. And it's seriously a 10 times better alternative then using shampoo around the same price as this.

I work out intensely, everyday, so 2-3 days between washing doesn't work for me. This has been perfect for a quick daily cleanser. It has enough slip to detangle and I feel my hair is clean without being stripped. I follow up with the EverCreme Nourishing Leave-In Spray before my styling cocktail.

I like this product for when I'm in a hurry an font have time for my full regimen- shampoo- deep condition etc. it's quick and leaves my hair clean but not stripped. It's a little heavy for my hair- I can't get more than 2 day hair when I use this. It smells great and is at a great price. I uses to use Wen and loved it but my budget could not afford it. This is a great alternative to Wen!

I liked that it's one step but I didn't like the scent. Is that really Vanilla Rose? I like both separately so perhaps it's the mix I don't like? However, that is not why I am only giving it two stars. My hair looked clean and fluffy (not frizzy) after using this but it felt coated and I HATE it when my hair looks or feels like it has too much product on it. The worst part is that it ruined my at home keratin treatment. I used it once out of laziness and boom - curls. Now on to Salon Grafix and Wen

I tried this and I think it's great! It gave me good slip and really moisturized my hair but when I used the leave-in spray, I was really happy! I have blonde, frizzy, thin hair and it really looked good. I am glad this can be bought at the store and the smell is like a vanilla-rose smell, which I find peasing. It's not overpowering like a lot of store brands. I still like As I Am Coconut CoWash and will alternate with this. I also love love love As I Am Curling Jelly and used this with it. It is nice to know that store brands are finally listening to we girly haired girls!

Cleansed my scalp BUT left it itchy. My hair felt soft BUT it didn't have much slip for tangles. For what it's worth, I'd try it again as a regular conditioner, not as a "co-wash" though.

This product gets 4 curls because it's performance under the circumstances of which I used it; I used it to wash my hair after using a DIY Honey Mask and it got my hair totally and completely clean. Squeaky even. This is a good thing I suppose, but I guess I was expecting more moisture from it. I thought that maybe I would not need an additional conditioner after using it, but really I did. So as far as a cleanser, this product is kind of stellar- I mean, i had the honey mixture in more hair for at least 30 minutes and it removed all traces of it. Just be prepared to follow it with an actual conditioner.

I agree with other reviews; this smells nice (vanilla and chocolate?). The bottle is small and the pump is hard to get out enough. I have medium long hair and needed about 10 pumps! On the "pro" side, results are great. I use this with the evercream conditioner at the same time, as my hair needs extra moisture. Then I put AG recoil in my hair when it is wet. Results have been well formed, soft curls and I am on second day hair. The price is right -- just a bigger bottle would be nice!

Good at cleaning the hair without drying it out. Smells so good like.... vanillaish??? haha I have 3c 4a hair that is very chemically treated so I like how this doesn't dry hair out and it is good if you want to keep your hair color from fading. I just do not like it as a conditioner for my hair because it makes it soft but not moisturized if that makes sense. If you have looser curls or non damaged hair it may be enought conditoning for you.

  • fading back to natural - Hair Type: Type 3c

I've been transitioning for the last 16 months and currently using the curly girl method (modified because I am transitioning) since January . Finding silicone and sulfate free products limits me to what I can use in my hair. When I heard of this conditioner cleanser I purchased it hoping it would be "good enough". So far this has exceeded my expectations!! My hair does not feel stripped but clean, my natural curls pop and my relaxed ends are "wavy". This is before I follow up with a moisturizing organic conditioner. I gave it 4 curls because I have just started using it (5 washings) but it is definately a main staple product me. :)

This is an okay cleanser. The smell is yummy, and it left my hair feeling very soft and moisturized, but it did not detangle well for me; I definitely still had to use a RO. The price is great compared to other conditioning cleansers, but its performance was just so-so for me. I would probably repurchase if I was out and needed to get something quick and cheap, but it's not my first choice.

Took me by surprise because I didn't read all of the details, so when it lathered slightly I was a bit disappointed. But once I washed it out, my hair was actually very soft and not stripped at all. The smell is okay, not a real big fan. I'm not sure if I will buy this again only because I feel there are better sulfate-free cleansers out on the market, but I do like the price and the fact that I can get it at pretty much any store. Not the greatest, not the worst, pretty much just an okay product.

Hmmm this is actually a really solid cleanser. It was very moisturizing and did not leave my hair stripped. I also like the fact that the scent was not overwhelming like a lot of L'oreal products. I will probably buy this in the future considering that it is really cheap and effective. I would recommend this cleanser to anyone who is looking for an alternative to washing their hair with shampoo.

Initial impression: nice cleanser and I didn't need extra conditioner. I did a protein spray, AG recoil and joiwhip and diffused. My hair has more wave than I expected for such a low dew day. Hopefully it continues to work. The scent is not as strong as everpure version.
