Chain Salons

I left the salon industry over a year ago to finish my degree. When I finally graduated from the university world, I found out the job market is really not that great. So I want to go back into doing hair to make some money, and I also really miss the buzz of the salon.

Should I start out at a chain salon at the mall? Like Regis or Visible Changes? I know they're a great way to build a clientele quickly, but I feel like it would be a step backwards. What should I do?

Thats a tough one. There are so many variables. I think it is up to presonal preferance. I will say though that anything that is worth it in life takes effort. You have to pay your dues either way. Weigh out your options. Look at it like a two year plan. Where do you want to be in your career in that time? Being awesome is a full-time job. No matter what you decide if you can honestly look in the mirror and know you work with focus as hard as you can, you will be successful.
