I just finished the interview process and was accepted to be a certified salon/stylist. Go to the web site and fill out the information on the application. You must have at least five years experience, you will have to list the products you carry and % of curl clients among other things. Ouidad will determine wether your location is acceptable for her demagraphic and she will want pictures of the salon and you. There is a retail purchase required for opening inventory and a bunch of legal paperwork about diversion and the non-compete and confidentiality agreement. These are all standard and seem scary but they are not. With your initial retail opening purchase one person from the salon goes to the New York Salon for training which they must pass. Not all pass. This is not a show up thing and go home no matter how you do, it is the real deal with live models and only 12 people in the class. It took about three weeks to complete all the paperwork and hear back from Ouidad. I ma heading to NYC for training on the 8&9th of November. I will let you all know how it went. I think it will be great to be a part of the Ouidad team.
