Redken Announces New Color Fusion Product
by Toree Roy on Monday, June 14th, 2010
Are you looking to dye your hair a copper tone that doesn’t fade fast? Look no further. Redken presents Color Fusion Rubilane, six new shades that provide a range of various shades of copper. The product is formulated with Rubilane Technology and lasts even after 20 shampoos, according to the company.
“Clients are always looking for the perfect copper color that is vibrant and lasts!” explains Tracey Cunningham, Redken Creative Consultant for Color. “Redken’s Color Fusion Rubilane shades are perfect for my clients, such as Julianne Moore, to bring out her copper tones with the perfect amount of dimension.”
The new shades, like all other Redken color fusion products, features the company’s exclusive Colorband Technology which includes high tenacity dyes that lock together inside the hair, ceramide that repairs the surface and seals the hair to protect the color, cationic conditioners that nourish and smooth the hair and coconut oil that helps form a protective barrier against water.
These new shades will come in handy during the fall and winter seasons, according to Cunningham, who says she uses brilliant copper-red shades to warm up her clients’ hair color for fall and winter.
Cunningham offers tips for brunettes and redheads on how to make a successful transition from summer hair to fall/winter locks.
For brunettes, Cunningham says she will keep her clients’ base a ‘dark chocolate truffle hue’ but that she will infuse thick golden highlights starting from the midsection of the hair.
Cunningham says to get this color ask for NEW Color Fusion 4Cb for the base and Blonde Icing Power Lift for soft golden highlights.
Finally for redheads she suggests that they lean towards a single color with no highlights just deep, vibrant mahogany tones. “For this must-have look of the season, think Julianne Moore. She has the most luscious shade of red that’s full of intense shine,” she says.
Cunningham says to get this color ask your colorist for NEW Color Fusion 4C and 5Cc. Redken products can only be guaranteed authentic when purchased from a salon. To locate a Redken salon visit Redken.com.
