I had my first Brazilian Blowout in August 2008, and got Certified at the next available class. Since then I have made it my speciality; I have done hundreds of them and my clients continue to be amazed by the results. Even I am still surprised and excited, every time! I also use two other keratin treatments, but Brazilian Blowout is by far the most popular, as well as my personal favorite.

I registered for this website so I could comment on this write up. Brazilian Blowout has OVER exceeded any expectations that I had before using the treatment. I have been offering the treatment at the salon now for about two months and EVERY client has left "in Aw" of their hair. The shine and smoothness of the hair is unbeatable. I have to assure my clients it's ok to wash their hair because they are so pleased with the outcome, they don't want it to go away. Even though the treatment lasts 10-12 weeks, clients have re-booked upon leaving the salon as to assure an appointment. I absolutly love the Brazilian Blowout and so happy to be able to offer this treatment to our salon clients. I would easily be a spokesperson for this product!!! LOL

I was disappointed to see Giacomo leave the competition, I was pulling for him! However, being a mother myself (a new addition within the last 4 weeks actually) I can certainly understand his decision. I'd love the honor to learn from him one day!

Yes I agree that chair renting is the best way to go if you have a clientele. I've worked at and owned both types of salons and from what I have seen, a stylist is lucky to get 50% commission working for a salon so you'll have to work twice as hard and twice as much & still not make what you would if you were an independent stylist. Remember, you have to give up have of what your are bringing in, pay surcharges for assistants and taxes are taken out of that paycheck, so you bring home about 30% when it s all said & done. Not worth it! Renters become your tenants so there can be issues with a chair rental salon.
What's better than chair rental? Renting a salon suite which is getting more and more popular. I just sold my salon and said I would never go into a salon to rent a hair with other stylists so I am in a "salon suite" WOW, what a nice relaxed feeling and your clients will love it too!

[...] January 6, 2010 · Leave a Comment Last month I organized a photo shoot for NaturallyCurly.com. I asked for the help of two other stylists and photographer and friend Haily Pfingston of Wicked Hailey Photography. What a great time this turned out to be! I got a little nervous when one stylist called an hour before the shoot to cancel, but luckily another stylist there at Orbit Salon was available to help. When it was all said and done we had three perfectly photographed “hair stories” all written by yours truly. Check out the entire article here. [...]
